Fandation is a subscription-based platform that enables artists to legally own and manage their fan data through customisable privacy policies. Built by Reverb Data, the product sits at the intersection of music, data, and regulation.
The challenge was not just designing a brand or a website, but turning a complex legal and technical proposition into something artists, managers, and partners could quickly understand, trust, and advocate for.
A complex idea with a credibility gap
While the product addressed a real and growing problem, fan data ownership is poorly understood and often mistrusted. Legal language, technical detail, and industry scepticism created barriers to adoption.
Fandation needed a clear narrative, a credible brand, and a set of tools that could communicate value without oversimplifying or losing trust with a knowledgeable audience.
Strategy, narrative, and launch-ready design
We led the creation of the Fandation brand from the ground up, defining its purpose, positioning, values, and tone of voice. This work shaped a clear narrative that balanced legal rigour with accessibility.
Alongside the brand strategy, we designed the visual identity, the public-facing website, and key UI components for the product itself. We also developed a full pitch deck to support investor and partner conversations, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint.
